The Nebraska last will and testament is a legal document, whereas a person (Testator) of legal age may specify to whom and how their estate would be distributed among their selected beneficiaries. The document will guide the user through the process of setting up a standard will by simply completing the form. Additional instructions may be added if needed, by adding a sheet and attaching it to the form. This document will require two witnesses. The Testator must complete the document while they are of sound mind. The document may be revoked or changed at any time.

How to Write
Step 1 – Once the document has been downloaded, the document will require establishment of a Testator by entering their name in the line at the top of the page, then proceed:
- Enter the Individual’s name
- City of residence
- County of residence
- Read title “Expenses and Taxes”
Step 2 – Executor – Establish an executor by entering the following:
- Executor’s name
- Complete Address
- County
- State
In the event the first appointed executor is unavailable, an alternate may be established:
- Submit the alternate executor’s name
- Complete Address
- County of residence
- State of residence
Step 3 – Disposition of Testator’s Property –Enter all beneficiary information as follows:
- Each Beneficiary’s name
- Address
- Relationship
- Submit the last four (4) digits of the beneficiary’s Social Security Number (SSN) Required
- The Testator must read the next paragraphs in this section
- If additional instructions will be necessary, the Testator may add a separate sheet and attach
Step 4 – Titled Sections –
- Omissions
- Bond
- Discretionary Powers of Personal Representative (subsections A through K)
- Contesting Beneficiary
- Guardian Ad Litem Not Required
- Gender
- Assignment
- Governing Law
Step 5 – Binding Agreement – The Principal must review and agree to the first paragraph – enter the following:
- Testator’s name
- Datw the document (dd/mm/yyyy)
- Testator’s name
- Printed name
- Date signature in dd/m/yy format
- Individual’s name
Step 6 – Witness Signatures
- Witnesses must enter their signatures
- Addresses
Testamentary Affidavit (Optional) –
- The notary will acknowledge this document by providing all of the notary information
- The notary will submit the names of all of the signatories
- Testator will provide their signature
- Witnesses will provide their signatures
